AAMU 150th Anniversary Fundraising Campaign
As part of Alabama A&M University’s 150th Anniversary, the campaign seeks to raise $150 million to support growth, scholarships, and excellence. The University is asking 10,000 alumni to contribute $1,500 each to reach $15 million. Montgomery-area alumni—including those from Macon, Lee, Lowndes, Pike, and Bullock counties—are challenged to raise $25,000. Every contribution, large or small, makes an impact. A reception hosted by Troy and Sue Massey celebrated this milestone effort

AAMU Montgomery Football Mixer & Pep Rally

The Montgomery Alumni Chapter had an exciting Football Mixer & Pep Rally at Brin’s Wings filled with music, games, raffles, and Bulldog spirit. Alumni, friends, and supporters came together to celebrate and rally for home games. Refreshments were available for purchase. This was a fun-filled afternoon of camaraderie, community, and Bulldog pride!

Annual AAMU Freshman Sendoff Ceremony

The AAMU Freshman Sendoff is a signature event where Alabama A&M University alumni in the Montgomery area come together to celebrate and support local students preparing to enter AAMU as freshmen. This annual sendoff connects alumni, current students, friends of AAMU, and community members in welcoming the next generation of Bulldogs. Incoming freshmen receive encouragement and advice directly from current second- and third-year students, offering valuable insights that help with the transition to college life, academic success, and building lifelong connections at Alabama A&M University.

AAMU Montgomery Scholarship Breakfast

The Scholarship Breakfast was the chapter’s premier fundraising event in support of AAMU student scholarships. This year’s program featured guest speaker Sam Shade, Alabama A&M’s head football coach, who shared his vision for the program and encouraged alumni engagement. The event combined a delicious breakfast, Bulldog fellowship, and vital fundraising to expand educational opportunities for students.

AAMU Awards Luncheon, Huntsville

The Alabama A&M University Awards Luncheon, held on campus in Huntsville during Founders Weekend, celebrated the achievements of outstanding alumni. Representing the AAMU Montgomery Alumni Chapter, Donald Clemons was honored as Alumnus of the Year, while Angelo Trimble received the prestigious William Hooper Councill Service Award.

AAMU Montgomery Alumni 2024 Christmas Mixer

The AAMU Montgomery Alumni Chapter gathered during the Christmas season to celebrate the birth of Christ and enjoy holiday fellowship together. Members exchanged gifts, shared delicious hors d’oeuvres, and enjoyed music, games, and laughter throughout the evening. This joyful holiday event offered alumni and friends a chance to connect, celebrate their Bulldog spirit, and wish one another a safe and happy holiday season.
